About.

Established in 2003

The Margaret River Surf Life Saving Club was established in 2003 and ran a Nipper program from 2006-2009. The nipper program was re-established in 2017 and is now growing from strength to strength with the support of the Woodside Nipper Initiative. The club has also maintained a ERT (emergency response team) over many years.

Our Goal

Our goal is to establish a training and education program for the local Margaret River youth so they have the skills to initially become confident in open water and eventually have advanced skills in water rescue. The youth will also gain an understanding of  community and how they can contribute through service. This will lead to a strong local rescue service that can respond to incidents in the local community.
